When it comes to national security, you’d think the path would be clear: see a threat, assess the danger, and act decisively to protect the American people. But in the swampy depths of Washington D.C., nothing is ever that simple. Instead, we get endless debates, legalistic nitpicking, and a stunning refusal to call a spade a spade, especially when that spade is Iran, and the ground it’s digging in is a grave for Western civilization. It’s a dangerous delusion, fostered by politicians and bureaucrats who seem more interested in defining away the problem than actually solving it.
Ambassador Gordon Sondland, a man who’s seen the inner workings of our foreign policy establishment, recently put a fine point on it, essentially saying that an ‘imminent threat’ isn’t some abstract philosophical concept for lawyers to squabble over; it’s a real danger that demands presidential judgment. And that, my friends, is the crux of the issue: the Deep State hates presidential judgment. It fears a strong leader who trusts his gut, his intelligence, and his God-given mandate to protect his flock. They prefer committees, endless studies, and the slow creep of bureaucracy that keeps them in power and keeps America from truly asserting its strength.
Think about it: for years, we’ve watched the mullahs in Tehran chant ‘Death to America,’ fund terror groups across the globe, and inch closer to nuclear capabilities. Their intentions aren’t hidden; they’re broadcast loud and clear. Yet, our political class, beholden to globalist agendas and appeasement strategies, acts as if we need another twelve subcommittees to determine if a nation actively plotting our destruction is, you know, a threat. It’s an insult to the intelligence of every red-blooded American patriot who understands that when someone openly declares war on you, they aren’t planning a garden party.
This isn’t just about Iran, though they are a primary symptom. It’s about a broader philosophical battle raging within our government. Do we want leaders who are prepared to stand firm, make tough calls, and defend American interests with the ferocity of a lion protecting its cubs? Or do we want glorified paper-pushers, constantly seeking consensus from foreign powers and global organizations, while our enemies grow bolder and our sovereignty erodes? The Bible teaches us that a leader must be vigilant, discerning, and courageous, like a watchman on the wall. Proverbs 29:2 reminds us, ‘When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.’ And inaction in the face of clear evil is, itself, a form of wickedness, allowing the innocent to suffer.
Our enemies don’t wait for our think tanks to publish their latest white papers. They don’t care about the precise legal definition of ‘imminent’ as outlined by some State Department lawyer. They see weakness, they see indecision, and they exploit it. President Trump understood this. When he took decisive action against Qassem Soleimani, for example, the Deep State shrieked about procedure and definitions. But what the American people saw was a President acting to neutralize a clear and present danger, putting America first, and demonstrating the kind of strength that our adversaries respect—and fear.
But politicians, especially those steeped in the ways of the swamp, prefer ambiguity. It gives them wiggle room, allows them to avoid accountability, and ensures they can always point fingers later. It’s a game of political survival, played at the expense of national security. And we, the people, are left to bear the consequences. This isn’t just an observation from Sondland, via foxnews; it’s a truth that echoes in the hearts of every patriot who prays for strong, God-fearing leadership in a world increasingly hostile to American values.
We need a President who understands that leadership isn’t about parsing words; it’s about discerning threats and acting with conviction. It’s about having the moral clarity to identify evil and the backbone to confront it, without waiting for a dozen diplomats to draft a strongly worded letter. The safety of our nation, and indeed the future of Western civilization, depends on it.
